Priority 02

Indigenous Faculty Development.

A co-developed model of kinship mentorship — culturally grounded, decolonizing, and oriented toward Indigenous futurities.

All priorities

Emerging and mid-career Indigenous faculty are invited to co-develop a faculty development model that promotes relationality. Our approach centers kinship, trust, and reciprocity — supporting scholars to lead, innovate, and thrive within academic spaces on their own terms.

The FNUniv Faculty Development series launches in fall 2026 and welcomes Indigenous faculty who wish to engage in shared learning, mentorship, and community building.

What the program offers

  • Kinship mentorship rooted in trust and reciprocity.
  • Culturally grounded professional development.
  • Peer circles for emerging, mid-career, and established scholars.
  • Support for research, teaching, and academic leadership.
